WHAT A NIGHT

Everyone at Holy Redeemer school and parish is overflowing with gratitude for the spirit of community and the level of generosity that was witnessed at our annual dinner and auction this past weekend.

We stand affirmed that we are a truly blessed community of friends, donors, alumni, parents, parishioners, educators, and supporters - united together in our commitment to our children and the promise of another 110 years of Catholic education at Holy Redeemer Catholic School.

WIN WIN

Our event was indeed a WIN WIN for our school - we hit our financial goal and we strengthened our connection as a community!

Our net goal was $180,000 and we surpassed that goal!

A highlight of this incredible generosity was seen in our Bids for Kids paddle raise which supports our tuition assistance program and raised $45,000 on event night. We want to offer our heartfelt thanks to the B.P. Lester and Regina John Foundation whose matching gift made that level of success possible.

Thank you, also, to our incredible sponsors and underwriters. Due to their generous support, all $180,000+ dollar raised on event night goes directly to the kids!

HONORING OUR FOUNDRESSES

Thank you for helping us honor the community of sisters that started the school in 1908, the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.

We were blessed to have 20 Holy Names Sisters with us on auction night. We have heard from many of them that they had a wonderful time and very much appreciated the tribute to their many years of service at our school. They all hold HRCS close to their hearts and will forever keep us in their prayers.

It is a notable time in our school's history and we thank you for time traveling with us as we use our 110th celebration to reflect on the remarkable history and vision of our founders.

In 1908, the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) joined the Redemptorist priests in leadership of Holy Redeemer Parish and School. Three brave Sisters enrolled 57 students and began a school that would become an educational pillar and faith community in North Portland. With the recent retirement of Sister Alice Weaver, SNJM who served 16 years as the Holy Redeemer Librarian, we acknowledge the end to SNJM presence at our school, and dedicate our 110th birthday to celebrating our visionary founders and their charism which will forever bless and guide our school.
