If you are wondering what the auction supports …

 

the easy answer is operating costs. The school’s annual operating costs are approximately $2.1 million. Tuition covers 75% of those costs, leaving just over $500,000 to fund from alternate sources. The auction is our biggest fundraising effort towards closing that gap and has a financial net goal of $180,000.

 

As an educational institution that has served the children and families of North and Northeast Portland for over 100 years, the auction helps us maintain our commitment to two fundamental aspects of our mission. The first is that we keep tuition at a rate that is affordable for the families in our local community. The second is that we provide tuition assistance to help those families who could otherwise not afford tuition.

 

With an army of volunteers, corporate sponsors, and an incredible outpouring of support and donations from local businesses, our event aims to not only achieve our financial goal, but bring together the members of our school, parish, and vast alumni community for an evening of genuine celebration. And never do we forget that at the root of our celebration is a commitment to the current and future students of Holy Redeemer Catholic School.
